Old metallic fillings causing early internal cracks in upper first and second molars. Second molar treated with a CAD-CAM (CEREC) all ceramic crown. The first molar was treated more conservatively utilizing a CAD-CAM (CEREC) three surface ceramic inlay. This treatment was completed in a single two hour visit.

A 50+ year old male presented with existing large mercury containing fillings. These fillings were causing cracks in the remaining tooth structure because they would expand and contract with hot and cold foods. The old fillings were removed and CAD-CAM technology was utilized to construct porcelain inlays and onlays while the patient waited.

The lower right first molar had a existing large metallic filling that has weakened the front cusp of the tooth. Horizontal cracks were evident. The old filling was removed and a CAD-CAM (CEREC) porcelain onlay was constructed and inserted in one visit.
